Alex is a senior at the University of California, Irvine majoring in Materials Science Engineering. His experience ranges from working at a large aerospace company, Aerojet Rocketdyne, to a small electronics security systems company. Alex has experience in project and laboratory management, troubleshooting, and material characterization, which will aid in developing a successful company.

Nomaan is a senior at the University of California, Irvine majoring in Materials Science Engineering. Currently, he is working as a process engineer at TTM Technologies. His job description includes troubleshooting, writing procedures, training employees, and performing failure analysis.

Brandon is a senior attending the University of California in Irvine majoring in Biomedical Engineering, with over two years of salivary diagnostic platform development experience. His skills developed over the course of this experience include writing protocols, programming, 3D CAD design, signal processing, and laboratory research.

Van is a senior at the University of California, Irvine majoring in Materials Science Engineering. She is currently an undergraduate researcher in Albert Yee’s lab. Her research focuses on designing antimicrobial medical devices using nanoscale topography and biopolymers.

Van Ly

Professor Khine got her B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at UC Berkeley and moved on to receive her Ph.D. in Bioengineering at UC San Francisco and UC Berkeley. Her current research projects at UC Irvine are single cell electroporation, shrinks-dink microfluidics, Microsystems for stem cell differentiation, canary on a chip, and quantitative single-cell analysis or receptor dynamics and chemotactic response on a chip.
